Carol (Kresal) (Erdman) Jones age 70, died of Colon Cancer on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born on January 4, 1940 to Edward J and Dorothy J. (Smoody) Kresal in the Town of Warren. She married Gary Erdman in 1965 and they were later divorced. On February 28, 1987, she married Ray A. Jones Sr. whom she had known since she was 15.
Carol was raised and educated in Berlin, graduating from Berlin High in 1958. She loved to cook and had an extensive collection of cook books and recipes. She also collected clip-on earrings and was an avid reader. She loved puzzle books, flower and vegetable gardening, and "eating out" with her husband.
Surviving Carol are her beloved husband, Ray; two sons, Jerry Erdman and Jon Erdman of Wautoma; five grandchildren: Ashlee, Andrea, Nikki, and Julia of Oshkosh, and Tyler of Wautoma; her brother, John (Carreen) Kresal of Idaho; three step-sons: Ray Jones Jr. of Oshkosh, Troy Jones of Neenah, and Perry (Deb Gutierrez) Jones of Olathe, Kansas; three step-grandchildren: Vanessa and Montana of Neenah, and Adam of Olathe, Kansas; also two great-granddaughters; and many cousins. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, one niece, one nephew, and her parents-in-law: Milton and Adeline Jones.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service for Carol at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street. A time of visitation and sharing memories will be held at the funeral chapel from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Interment will be in Zoar Cemetery.
