Amber S. Gray, age 58, of Oshkosh, died Sunday afternoon, October 15, 2006 at Park View Health Center. She was born on July 30, 1948 in Oshkosh to Herbert and Arlene (Owens) Peters. Amber was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was employed as an accountant for Medalist Industry for 22 years and was later employed by Aurora Health Care in medical records.
Survivors include one daughter, Tessa Gray of Oshkosh; three sons, Tony (Dixie) Gray, Troy Gray, and Trevor (Jamie) Gray, all of Oshkosh; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Michael, Mandy, Allen, Emilee, and Katlyn; five brothers, Clint (Shirley) Peters, Bruce (Margie) Peters, Manual (Mary) Peters, Jerry (Karla) Peters, Michael (Marge) Peters; one sister, Phyllis (Richard) Gray; two sisters-in-law, Sally Peters and Lynn Peters; her life-long partner and soul-mate, Cecil Gray, of Oshkosh; many nieces and nephews. Preceding Amber in death are her parents, two brothers, Herbert and David Peters; and a granddaughter, Kayla Gray.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, 400 North Sawyer Street, with Reverend Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and support will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 North Eagle Street, and on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Amber's family is establishing a memorial in her memory.
