Avis I. Seefeld, age 91, of Clearwater, Florida, died Sunday, July 24, 2005. She was born in Fond du Lac February 17, 1914 to Edward and Elsa (Hackbarth) Averbeck. She married Gordon Seefeld October 12, 1935. He preceded her in death, October 3, 1988. They operated the Seefeld Century Farm for many years before moving to Fond du Lac in 1978. They moved to Florida in 1985.
Avis was active in many organizations: Fond du Lac Federated Women's Club, Republican Women, Saturday Lecture Club, Covenant United Methodist Alpha Phi, Past President of Church Women United, Past President of Covenant United Methodist Women, and District president and Vice President of the Fond du Lac Chapter 70 - Order of the Eastern Star.
A funeral service will be held for Avis in the Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at 11:30 A.M. the Reverend Paul Armstrong officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held in the mausoleum on Wednesday, from 10:30 until the time of the service.
