Obituary

Bernard Martin, age 92, of Oshkosh, died Saturday, July 8, 2006. He was born on June 14, 1914 in Oshkosh to Henry and Bertha (Leighenger) Martin. Bernard married Clara Paffenroth on June 12, 1944 and she preceded him in death on November 30, 2000.
Bernard was a lifelong resident of Oshkosh. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Bomb Sight and Automatic Pilot Mechanic in various USAF training fields in the U.S. After his service in the Air Force, he was employed by and retired from Rockwell International. Bernard was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. His love of the outdoors included hunting, fishing, and gardening. He enjoyed making his own fishing baits.
Survivors include a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; nieces and nephews; several dear friends; his loyal companion, his loving dog, Ginger.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, 400 North Sawyer Street, with Reverend Jeff Knoll officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow the services in Lake View Memorial Park.
