Bernece T. Spotts, age 82, of Oshkosh, formerly of Fort Collins, Colorado, died on April 16, 2007 at Evergreen Retirement Community.? She was born on June 4, 1924 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania to William and Anna (Savitsky) Covaleski.? Bernece married Robert G. Spotts on January 1, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.? Together, they had three wonderful children.? Robert preceded her in death in April 1994.

Bernece lived in Pennsylvania for 38 years, and then went to live in Fort Collins, Colorado for 33 years.? In 1996, she moved to Oshkosh and has been here since.? She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Fort Collins and was very involved in church activities.? Bernece loved to knit, square dance, and was a fabulous cook.? Her pastimes included puzzles and card games.? She loved to spend time in the mountains with her family.

Survivors include her two sons: Robert (Kim) Spotts of Hood River, Oregon, and Richard (Deb) Spotts of Fort Collins, Colorado, and her daughter: Sheryl (Scott) Brownlea of Oshkosh.? Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive Bernece.? She is further survived by one sister: Marieanne Edwab of New Jersey, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.? She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents; one sister Eileen Ciuccarelli, and one brother William Covaleski.?
