Obituary

Carol Mae Reinke, of Almond, Wisconsin, and formerly from Oshkosh, passed away on July 11, 2012, at Eden Meadows after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Oshkosh on November 27, 1939, to Edward and Evelyn Ellner. The family later moved to Reighmoor and Carol attended school in Omro.
On May 4, 1957, Carol married Marvin F. Reinke at the Elo United Methodist Church. They lived in rural Oshkosh, where she worked at Buckstaff Company for 35 years, before retiring in 2002, when they moved to Almond, Wisconsin. Marvin preceded Carol in death on August 26, 2002. Carol enjoyed doing craftwork, especially making things with safety pins, wire, and beads. A special joy was time spent around the house and outdoors with her granddaughter, Tricia Gates.
Survivors include her children, Terri (Tim) Busse of Poy Sippi, Herbert (Sally) Reinke of Winneconne, Robin (Jim) Gates of Poy Sippi, and Erwin "Skeeter" (Margie) Reinke of Oshkosh; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty (Russell) Olson of Oshkosh and Sharon Pahlow of Oshkosh; a brother, Gary (Carol) Ellner of Omro; two nieces and five nephews; several aunts and an uncle; and several cousins. Preceding Carol in death is her husband, a daughter, Cynthia Jean Reinke, her parents, Edward Jr. and Evelyn Ellner, her grandparents, George and Elise Bartels, Edward and Mary Ellner, father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Maude Reinke, brother-in-law, Fred Reinke, sister-in-law, Carol Reinke, a nephew, David Andrashko Jr., and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Mathew Simonar officiating. Interment will be at Minckler Cemetery in rural Omro. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Carol's family wishes to thank Dr. Gremminger and the entire staff of Eden Meadows for the gentle and loving care given to their mother.
