Charles B. Hoy, age 91 of Oshkosh died at Evergreen Retirement Community on Tuesday, April 10, 2007. He was born on June 8, 1915 to Harold and Florence (Bishop) Hoy. On February 3, 1939 he married Shirley M. Seabold. They enjoyed each others companionship for 66 years until her death in 2005.

Charles was a sweet, gentle soul who had the "joy of life." He was loving and good willed and made friends wherever he was. He lived in Chicago most of his life and loved the Cubs and the Bears, as well as the city itself. He worked in the advertising department at Marshall Fields until retirement at age 75.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Christine Gardener; grandchildren, Kathy Iturbibe and Michael Hoy; and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Paige Iturbibe. His lovely bride, Shirley preceded him in death as well as his son, Thomas Hoy.
