Obituary

Charlotte Mae Eichstadt passed peacefully surrounded by family and her beloved poodle, Indie, on December 28th, 2025, at the age of 93. Char was born on January 6th, 1932, in Oshkosh to Ralph and Elsie (Schuff) Dorman.
Char attended a one room schoolhouse for her primary and middle school years and left after 8th grade to lend a helping hand (as she has always done) to work on the family farm.

After spending time helping with the family farm, she then went to work at Badger Lumber until they closed in 1982. After that she worked at Morgan Door until she retired. Char wasn’t one to sit idle, so after retirement she worked part time for Paul L. Jensen & Son, Inc. and also worked on Cal and Sally Mace’s farm.

She met the love of her life, Clarence Eichstadt in 1967 at The Roxy and they were married on November 16th, 1968. In their earlier years together, they enjoyed “old time” dancing and traveling together to various places such as the Bahamas, Hawaii, Mexico and Las Vegas. They married at Christ Lutheran Church where Char was a lifetime member, taught Sunday School, ushered and served on the church council.

Char had a tremendous love for many animals throughout her life, most recently loving her poodles Smoky, Duke and Indie along with her horses, Misty, Cheyenne, Javah, Montana and Stardust. Char previously belonged to the Broken Wheel Riding Club and enjoyed participating in horse shows and parades. She faithfully attended the Manawa Mid-Western Rodeo every summer, looking forward to that weekend the whole year through. She rode in several grand entries and rodeo parades. She loved finding trinkets and treasures at rummage sales and Cedarburg Maxwell Street Days, doing puzzles, word searches and dot to dots, knitting and was an avid fan of the Game Show Network.
