Darrell D. Milner, age 41, of Omro, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 12, 2006 at home. He was born September 7, 1964 in Oshkosh, the son of David and Shirley Christian Milner. He graduated from Winneconne High School in 1983. Darrell served in the U. S. Marines from 1984 – 1990 and later served in the Navy Seabees from 2001 – 2004. He married Suzanne M. Kasuboski on October 2, 1993 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Darrell worked as a machine operator in the Cold Spring facility at Kimberly-Clark.

Darrell was loved and will be missed by his wife, Suzanne, of Omro, his children, Jacob, Luke and Elijah, all at home, his parents, David and Shirley Milner of Omro; his brothers, David (Renee) Milner of Mishicot, Darick (Anne) Milner of Appleton, Douglas (Jo Rae) Milner of Berlin, Dennis (Angie) Milner of Omro, Daniel (Fiancée Angela) Milner of Omro, Duane Milner of Mishicot; his sisters, Lynnette (Phillip) Priebe of Ripon, Gina (Paul) Thiesfeldt of Fond du Lac and Terri (Mark) Gauthier of Omro. He is further survived by his mother and father in law, numerous sisters and brothers in law, 54 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many near and dear friends.

Darrell was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his sons, and hunting with his brothers. He loved to work on cars, travel the country on his motorcycle and ride ATV's. In his youth, he discovered the joy of working on model cars and planes and passed this hobby on to his sons. Darrell was the type of person who would go out of his way helping other people. Family and friends will always remember and greatly miss his keen sense of humor and quick wit. He was a true friend in the greatest sense of the word.

Darrell's family wishes to thank the pastors, Hospice workers, co-workers, members of his church and friends who offered their support during this time of need.

In respect to Darrell's memory, a visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Corner of 9th and Nebraska in Oshkosh from 4-8 p.m. and then again on Saturday at church from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gregg Schoeneck and Rev. Dan Krause officiating. Burial will be in the Allenville Cemetery. A memorial in his name has been established.
