Passed away on January 15, 2026, age 59, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was born on September 5, 1966, in Iowa, to John L. and Judith (Novak) Romitti.
David was a proud graduate of Madrid High School '84, where he enthusiastically participated in baseball, football, and track. He briefly attended DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa, and spent much of his working life in the retail field. He shared a close bond with his father and later devoted himself to caring for him until his father’s passing in March 2025.
An avid sports fan and trivia enthusiast, David especially enjoyed NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers, Iowa State Cyclones, Cincinnati Reds, and San Jose Sharks. He loved music, movies—particularly horror films—and was known for his quick wit, sharp humor, and ability to make others laugh. He fondly recalled seeing comedian George Carlin, speaking with football player Larry McCarren, and having first row Beach Boys tickets.
David is survived by his siblings, Teresa (William) Van Aacken and Jarrod Romitti; one niece; two nephews; two great nephews; and several friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
