Donald Polfuss

Donald E. Polfuss, 92, passed away peacefully alongside his family, on July 15, 2026. He was born April 1, 1934, in Princeton, Wisconsin, the son of Emil and Gladys Polfuss. Donald married the love of his life, Carol Lueptow, on September 25, 1955. They had three children, Jeff (Karen) Polfuss, James (Holly) Polfuss, and Julie (Jay) Carlson; Donald had 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his wife Carol, granddaughter Nicole Polfuss, and his siblings.
As a testament to a loving and lasting marriage, Don longed for companionship, and found his second love, Sandra Wagner, with whom he has shared the last 30 years with. Don and Sandy traveled extensively over the years, and enjoyed everything associated with retirement, including golfing, bowling, visiting casinos, and attending family events. Donald’s family is eternally grateful that they found each other.
Before his retirement, Donald spent many years as a plant manager for a metal stamping company in Oshkosh. After retirement, Donald relocated to his lake home in Wautoma, Wisconsin. Donald spent his later years splitting time between his homes in Mesa, Arizona, and Plymouth, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be held at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, WI 54901 on Monday, July 27 beginning at 10am and continuing until service in the Lake View chapel at 12 noon, committal will take place following services.
