Obituary

Edward J. Pietrzak, age 89, of Oshkosh and formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at his home. He was born on January 9th in Milwaukee to Vincent and Josephine Pietrzak. On September 27, 1941 he married Rose Balcerek in Milwaukee and she preceded him in death on November 11, 1991.


Edward was employed by Wehr Steel in Milwaukee for many years before retiring as a foreman. He and Rose moved to Oshkosh in 1979. During WWII, Edward served with the U.S. Army in Africa and Italy. Edward delighted in time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed watching the Packers and other sporting events on TV.


Survivors include a son, Dennis (Judie) Pietrzak of Oshkosh; a daughter, Judy Pietrzak of Oakland, California; three grandchildren, curt of Green Bay, Jason of Boise, Idaho, and Carrie of Oshkosh; six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Alexis, Devon, Jacob, all of Oshkosh; Allison and Nicholas of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Roman Pietrzak. Preceding Edward in death are his wife, parents, brothers, and sisters.


Per Edward's wishes, there will be no visitation and private family services will be held at Lake View Memorial Park. Special thanks to Aurora Home Care and Hospice for all their help and care. Memorials are requested to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society in Edward's memory.
