Eleanor A. Wangelin, 74 of Oshkosh, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at home surrounded by her family, following a five year battle with cancer. She was born on her parents' farm in the Town of Nekimi on July 28, 1931 to the late George and Florence (Gillen) Wegner. Eleanor married Roger E. Wangelin in 1955. They enjoyed 50 wonderful years together.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Wangelin and a daughter, Vicki Wangelin both of Oshkosh. She has surviving a brother, Donald Wegner, two sisters-in-law, Audrey Martha Wegner and Audrey Mae Wegner. Her loving family extends to nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Wegner and Leonard Wegner and a sister-in-law, Ruth Wegner.

Eleanor was a life-long member of Grace Bible Church. In past years she was employed at Miles Kimball Company and was also a home care provider. After marriage she was a stay at home wife and mother. She was well known for being a great cook and seamstress.

The family wishes to acknowledge with heart felt praise and gratitude the special care given to Eleanor by the many nurses from Affinity Visiting Nurses.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 3rd, at 11:30 AM at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street in Oshkosh with Pastor Matthew Ritchey officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established by her family.
