Harold E. "Ike" Petri, Jr., age 70, passed away, surrounded by his family at home on Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born in Oshkosh on November 16, 1941 the son of the late Harold and Mildred (Larsen) Petri, Sr. On August 25, 1962 he married Diana Troxell at First English Lutheran Church, Oshkosh. Ike worked for Mercury Marine for 25 years before suffering a car accident from which he never completely recovered. He loved the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. Ike will be remembered for being very helpful to others as he would "give someone the shirt off his back."

Ike is survived by his wife, Diana; daughters: Rhonda Renee Suarez and Kerry (Robert) Hoetschl; grandchildren: Kerby (Aaron) Kuehn, Roan Suarez and Ashton Young; great-grandchildren: Jeremy and Abigail Kuehn; brother, Thomas (Kathy) Petri; sister, Linda Petri; sisters-in-law: Joan (Daniel) Dadas and Gloria Duley; brother-in-law, Dennis Troxell; and special friend, Steve Ploetz.

The funeral service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Friends will be received at the Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

The family extends a special thank you to Ike's granddaughter, Kerby, for helping out and making Ike smile. Further, thank you to Steve Ploetz for coming to see Ike and taking him fishing.
