Helen M. Luft, age 78, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday morning, May 24, 2006 at her home. She was born on January 26, 1928 in Oshkosh to Adolf and Emma (Hoffman) Leitl. Helen married Henry Luft on September 6, 1952 in Oshkosh. Henry preceded her in death.
Helen was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a long time employee of Hughes Chocolate in Oshkosh and the family business, Leitl's Bar. Helen was a fun loving lady who had a zest for life. She enjoyed sharing time with family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Jim (Katy) Luft of Waukesha, Robin "Rocky" (Mary Jo) Luft of Oshkosh, and Jay (Dawn) Luft of Coppell, Texas; five grandchildren, Lorelle Scheibe, Josh Luft, Noah Luft, Megan Luft, and Alex Luft; and one brother, Adolf "Red" (Lorraine) Luft of Oshkosh. Preceding Helen in death are her husband, parents, and two brothers, Joseph and Roland Leitl.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 North Eagle Street, with Reverend David Pagel officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
