Jacob Robert Kroll was born into this world on May 19th, 2015, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to Andrew Richard Kroll and Janelle Ann (Buckholz) Kroll. On January 24, 2016, Jacob was clothed with Christ’s robes of righteousness through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. He was called to his Savior’s side and given rest from this earthly life on August 11, 2026. Although Jacob lived a short and medically complex life, he enjoyed it to the fullest as he brought love and joy wherever he went. Jacob loved throwing balls, scrolling on YouTube, and swimming. He also had a very special interest in elevators. Jacob cherished spending time with his family most, especially with his brother, Eli, and his twin sister, Katy. Jacob is survived by his parents, Andrew and Janelle; brothers, Elijah and Trent; twin sister, Katelyn; grandparents, Robert and Marilyn (Sundquist) Deffibaugh, Arlene (Dahlke) Kroll; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special thanks to Jacob’s very large and amazing care team at Children’s Hospital Milwaukee, and to those in our Church, neighborhood, and community that have helped in so many ways. Thanks be to God for Jacob - a precious Gift from heaven. Though he was with us for a short time, his memories will live with us for the rest of our lives.
The family gratefully requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be directed to Jacob’s Memorial Fund to support final expenses at everloved.com , or to the Ronald McDonald House at https://apps.rmhc-easternwi.org/donate , in recognition of the compassionate support they provided during Jacob’s hospitalizations. Donors to the Ronald McDonald House are asked to note that their gift is made in memory of Jacob and to list him as the honoree. Donations can also be made in Jacob’s honor to Martin Luther Church and School who have supported Jacob’s family throughout his journey. While gifts are appreciated, your presence, prayers, and support mean the most to the family during this difficult time.
A Christian Funeral will be held at Martin Luther Church, 1526 Algoma Boulevard, Oshkosh on August 21st, 2026. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Jacob will be buried at Poy Sippi Cemetery, trusting in the promise of resurrection to glory through Jesus his Savior.
An additional memorial service is being planned in Milwaukee for those unable to attend the funeral, details will be shared once they are finalized.
“The Lord heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
