Jean Prasse, age 78, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, November 29, 2005 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born on March 27, 1927 in Dodgeville, Michigan to Matti and Vappu (Kinnunen) Saarinen. Jean married William "Bill" Prasse on February 2, 1952 in Houghton, Michigan. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center for over 15 years.


Survivors include her husband: Bill Prasse of Oshkosh; five daughters: Karen (Jack Archibald) Prasse, Judith (Paul) Borrell, Patricia (Kenneth) Meyer, Susan (Stanley) Novotny, and Christine Prasse; three granddaughters: Jean (Eric) Hayes, Clara and Madelyn Borrell; one sister: Ruth (John) Simon. Preceding Jean in death are her parents, 7 sisters, and one brother.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church, 110 Church Ave., with Reverend Thomas Willadsen officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. A time of visitation and support will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association in Jean's memory would be appreciated.
