Jeanette M. Bringman, age 84, of Oshkosh, died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay. She was born on April 1, 1923 in Oshkosh to Fred and Sarah (Libby) Spiegelberg. Jeanette married Rexford Hess on July 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death on February 20, 1962. She married William Bringman on June 17, 1972 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1981.


Jeanette was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Omro High School, was an instructor at Fond du Lac Technical School for many years, organized many tours for the Oshkosh Senior Center, was a sale clerk at Polly Z's Fashion Shop, enjoyed crossword and jig-saw puzzles, was an excellent cook and baker, and helped meet the transportation needs of others.


Survivors include a brother, Gleason (Ruth) Spiegelberg of Omro; step-daughter, Barbara (Randy) Ewert of Cleveland, Wisconsin; step-son, Robert (Jannie) Bringman of Heidelberg, Germany; five grandchildren, Tom (Laura) Ewert, Joe Ewert, Kelly Ewert, Eugene Bringman, and David Bringman; eight nieces and nephews, Wayne (Mary) Spiegelberg, Leeann Spiegelberg, Jean (Bob) Stannard, Reg (Patty) Spiegelberg, Lori (Tom) Radmarker, Jack (Sharon) Spiegelberg, Charles (Donna) Spiegelberg, and Jane (Rick) Koplitz; several great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends at Carmel Apartments. Preceding Jeanette in death are her husbands, parents, a brother, Wilton Spiegelberg, and a sister-in-law, Ardene Spiegelberg.


Memorial funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Wesley United Methodist Church, 761 Florida Ave, with Reverend Barry Yarbro officiating. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A time for sharing of memories will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. A memorial is being established in Jeanette's memory.
