Jeanette A. Kubasta, age 79, of Omro, passed away on Friday evening, June 2, 2006, at the Omro Care Center. She was born on April 2, 1927 to Fred and Katherine Carey Beck in Aurora Township. She married Lawrence Kubasta on May 27, 1950 in Omro. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was her favorite pastime. She was talented at sewing, making crafts, hooking rugs and cooking. She enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband and family. She spent her free time reading.
Jeanette was loved and will be missed by her husband of 56 years, Lawrence Kubasta of Omro; her daughters, Lori Kubasta of Oshkosh, Janet (Gene) Kuhns of Oshkosh, and Kathleen Blake of Oshkosh; her grandchildren, Kevin (Marsha), Brandon, Bobby (Ashley), K.C., Cami, Rissa, and Geno Kuhns, all of Oshkosh; her great grandchildren Derek and Kailyn; her sister, Kathleen (Harold) Hoth of Ripon, brother in law, Ward Loker of Omro; sister in law Marion Marin of Mesquite, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Lorna Albright and Pearl Loker; her brothers, Thomas Beck and Lawrence Beck.
Visitation for Jeanette will be held at the Omro Funeral Home on Monday, June 5, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Edward Slusser officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Omro Cemetery. The family would like to thank Larry and the rest of the Omro Care Center Staff and Dr. Loria for the compassionate care given to Jeanette. A memorial is being established in her name.
