Joan M. “Mickey” (Siebold) Schultz, age 80, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin surrounded by her family. She was born on July 30, 1945, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Jacob and Lucille (Kenfield) Siebold.
Joan graduated from Oshkosh High School with the Class of 1963. She pursued a career in cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser for many years in Fond du Lac, later working at Martins School of Hair Design in Oshkosh. She also worked in medical records and patient food services at the local hospital. Her most cherished and recent role, however, was being a farmer’s wife.
On March 19, 1982, Joan married the love of her life, David Schultz, at St. John’s Luthern Church in Van Dyne. Together they shared 44 wonderful years of marriage.
In her free time, Joan enjoyed traveling, playing cards with neighbors, and hosting gatherings for her classmates from the Class of ’63 at the family farm. Above all, she treasured time spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her happy-go-lucky spirit and for being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Joan is survived by her husband, David Schultz; her children, Tami (Jim) Fritz, April (Steven) Buhrow, Jodi Mallas (Scott Roffers), Doug (Heather) Schultz, and Dustin (Allison) Schultz; her grandchildren, Megan Gebhart, Andy Fritz, Maddy Rich, Chae Buhrow, Gage Buhrow, Harley Buhrow, MacKenzie Schuenemann, Zoe Schuenemann, Jenni Malchow, Mike Steger, Nick Steger, Lexi Schultz, Stevie Schultz, and Myles Schultz; and her great-grandchildren, Hailey Steger, Camdyn Immerfall, and Baby Rich, expected soon.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Rosik; her son, Steven Mallas; her great-granddaughter, Gemma Gebhart; her parents, Jacob and Lucille Siebold; her brother, Lee Siebold; her parents-in-law, Oscar and Flora Schultz; along with several other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the family farm, W7700 Cemetery Rd., Van Dyne, Wisconsin, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with a meal to follow afterward.
