Julia Due Petersen died peacefully at her residence on July 31, 2006. She was born on August 11, 1908 to Julius and Marie Due in Oshkosh. Julia married Ralph Petersen.
Julia attended the University of Wisconsin Madison and graduated from the School of Nursing. She was very active in nursing and volunteered with the Red Cross. Julia was a member of the First Congregational Church in Berlin and Oshkosh. She was also a member of the Athena Book Club and The Oshkosh Country Club. Julia and her family lived in Berlin, WI, Innisbrook (Tarpon Springs) Florida, and on Lake Butte Des Morts here in Oshkosh.
Julia is survived by her daughter: Liela (Stuart) Klauer of New London, a sister: Janice Pennau, of Oshkosh, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Petersen, her daughter: Iris Platt, and her sister: Ellen Due.
A memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 11 AM at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Ralph DiBiasio-Snyder officiating. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin. A memorial is being established in Julia's name to the charity of your choice.
