Kenneth C. Emmerichs, age 82, of Oshkosh and formerly of Pepin, Wisconsin, died Wednesday morning, August 3, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on November 28, 1922 in Waupaca to Henry and Sadie (Rothenbach) Emmerichs. Ken married Arlyne Fabricius on May 29, 1943 in Sherman, Texas.
Ken was a realtor with the Paul Schmidt Agency in the Oshkosh area before his retirement. He enjoyed being a rock hound, built all types of model airplanes, loved to travel and use his camera. He was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Ken served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Arlyne Emmerichs of Oshkosh; two sons: Robert (Laurie) Emmerichs of Herndon, Virginia; Jeffrey Emmerichs of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters: Terri Bouchez of Aurora, Colorado; Lori Albee of Loves Park, Illinois; four grandchildren: Rob Albee, Rebecca (Andy) Suarez, Nathaniel (Amy) Smith, and Timothy Smith; and his faithful and devoted Black Lab: Poco. Preceding Ken in death are his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2005 at 12:00 Noon in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Marvin Ahlborn officiating. Interment will follow the services at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and support will be held on Monday from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon at the funeral chapel.
