Kenneth R. Zarling, age 41, of Coloma, formerly of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly on July 18, 2005. He was born December 5, 1963 in Oshkosh, WI., the son of James P. and Donna (Kienert) Zarling. Ken grew up and attended school in Oshkosh. Ken was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Oshkosh. Family and friends will fondly remember him as a person who had a deep love and appreciation of the outdoors. Ken could often be found fishing, hunting and spending time with his two children and dog, Rocky.

Ken will be sadly missed by his two sons, Curtiss and Dakota both of Oshkosh; his parents, Jim and Marianne Zarling of Omro and Donna and Clarence Hobson of Apple Valley, CA.; his brothers, Larry S. (Mae) Zarling of Colorado Springs, CO., Michael J. (Judy Kubiak) of Chadsworth, CA., and Gary Zarling of Oshkosh; step brothers and sisters, Tom (Cathy) Broege of Oshkosh, Brett Broege of Menasha, Michele (Matt) Feller of Oshkosh and Wendy (Brian) Fisher of Pickett. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many good friends. Ken was preceded in death by his grandparents.

In loving respect to Ken's memory a visitation will be held at the funeral home in Omro on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ken will be laid to rest at the Waukau Cemetery. A memorial in his name has been established.
