Leta E. Moldenhauer, age 95, of Oshkosh, died Monday morning, February 28, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center. Born on October 18, 1915 in Auroraville to Herman and Hulda (Huebner) Krause, Leta married Harvey W. Moldenhauer on June 13, 1937 in Berlin, Wisconsin. Harvey preceded Leta in death on November 15, 1968.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Leta was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and Grace Circle. She was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church Choir in Berlin.
Mourning her passing is a daughter, Carol (John) Wilson of Oshkosh; two grandsons, David (Lori) Wilson and Daniel Wilson, both of Oshkosh; seven great-grandchildren, Kandice, Joshua, MacCahla, Hannah, Blake, and Olivia; and two great-great-grandchildren, Mason and Antonio. Preceding Leta in death is her husband, parents, and a sister, Viola Worchel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street, with Reverend Chadwick Graham officiating. Interment will be at Bush Cemetery in the rural Berlin area. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
