Margaret R. Krumenauer, age 91, died peacefully in her sleep on July 31, 2006 at her home in Gabriel's Villa, Oshkosh. Margaret was born on August 31, 1914 to George and Barbara (Uelman) Schneider in Oshkosh. She graduated from Oshkosh High School. She found love with Eugene J. Krumenauer and they were wed on February 14, 1953 in Oshkosh.
During World War II, Margaret lived with her older sister, Marie, in California. She was one of the first drivers for Meals on Wheels here in Oshkosh. She retired after 30 faithful and eventful years. Margaret also volunteered at Mercy Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, and playing bridge. Margaret had a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include her husband: Eugene, one brother: Jack (Verona) Schneider, two sister-in-laws: Ruth Krumenauer and Florence Hamilton, all of Oshkosh. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives further survive Margaret. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Lawrence, Lee, George, and Gordon, and two sisters: Josephine and Marie.
Services for Margaret will be held on Friday, August 4th, 2006 at 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 435 High Avenue, with Father Kollath officiating. Guests may gather at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A memorial is being established in Margaret's name to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
