Mary E. Hesser, age 89, of Oshkosh and formerly of Fond du Lac, died Monday morning, July 24, 2006 at Parkview Health Center Pavilion. She was born on November 8, 1916 in Stevens Point to John and Bertha Siebert. Mary married John G. Hesser in 1958 in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1995.
Mary and John owned and operated Hesser Supper Club near Fond du Lac. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Oshkosh. Mary enjoyed golfing and visiting with everyone she came into contact with.
Survivors include two sons, William (Judy) Hesser of Oshkosh, John (Vivian) Hesser of Grapevine, Texas; five grandchildren, Doug (Gail) Hesser of Neenah, Vicki Hesser of New Berlin, Debbie (Mike) Strick of Appleton, Robin (Brad) Temmer of Appleton, Suzie (Scott) Brandl of Oshkosh; nine great-grandchildren, Sarah and Amanda Hesser, Cassondra and Dylon Temmer, Ethen and Emma Strick, Noah, Kaylyn and Evan Brandl; many nieces and nephews. Preceding Mary in death are four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1306 Michigan Street, with Reverend R. David Gaskill officiating. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation and support will be held on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials in Mary's name are requested to a Masonic charity of your choice. A thank you from Mary's family to Dr. William Weber, Aurora Medical Center, and the staff at Parkview Health Center for the care given to Mary.
