Olive A. Wegener, age 79, of Oshkosh, died Monday afternoon, July 11, 2005 at her home. She was born on September 13, 1925 in Oshkosh to Kenneth and Anne (Griedl) Cross. Olive married George Wegener in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death in July of 1988.


Survivors include three sons: Mark Wegener of Oshkosh; Jeffrey Wegener of Cupertino, California; Christopher Wegener of Oshkosh; three grandchildren: Lisa Hein of Marion, Wisconsin; Kim Aguilar of Shakopee, Minnesota; Todd Yurk of Plymouth, Minnesota; two great-grandchildren: Max and Amelia Hein; two sisters: Violet Oestriech and Lois Brayton, both of Oshkosh. Preceding Olive in death are her husband; parents; one daughter: Peggy Wegener Yurk; and one brother: Kenneth Cross.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Reverend Milton Staskal officiating. Interment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will held on Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
