Rodney Measure found peace on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Evergreen Hospice.
Rod was born on February 12th, 1946, in Oshkosh. He attended St. Peters Grade School where he enjoyed playing basketball. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1964.
As a young man he worked at Measure’s Meat Market, his father’s business.
In 1966-1968 he served in the US Army in Vietnam.
After his military service he worked at K-Mart and became the Men’s Wear Manager in Oshkosh, then becoming a District Manager for Men’s Wear in the Midwest.
He worked for Oshkosh Corporation for 28 years until he retired.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling with family and friends. Some of his best times were spent at his Army reunions with fellow veterans of the 34th Engineer Battalion.
He is survived by his wife, Paula; and sons, Jacob and Jack; brother-in-law, Steven Groth and wife, Jerilou; sister-in-law, Mary Domnie; niece, Dawn Dettlaff; cousin, Diane Timmer, her husband John, and their daughter Katie; and other loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Jeannette; older brother, Robert; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Jerry Weiland; brother-in-law, Walter Domnie; and Dawn’s husband, Dave.
Per Rod’s wishes there will be a private graveside ceremony with military honors.
