Wayne K. Warnke, 78, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2006. He was born in Fond du Lac on May 9, 1927, the son of Archie and Ethel (Schultz) Warnke. He had lived in Oshkosh for many years and worked at Rockwell for a short time. Man's best friend was truly Wayne's best friend. He loved to adopt and care for dogs and did so many times in his life. These past five years were spent at Valhaven Nursing Home in Neenah where Wayne was well liked was a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Constance Erdmann and Joyce Clark. Surviving are a niece and two nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held at Valhaven Nursing Home at a later date for friends of Wayne. He will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park. Condolences may be given online at www.seefeldfuneral.com.
