William W. Nelson Sr., age 57, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, April 24, 2007 at Park View Health Center-Pavilion. He was born on October 29, 1949 in Oshkosh to James and Marie (Payne) Nelson. William was a self-employed commercial painting contractor in the Oshkosh area. He enjoyed cross word puzzles, time spent with family and friends, walking, and restoring cars (especially muscle cars).


Survivors include four children, Ronald (Heidi) Nelson, Willie Nelson, Jennifer (Bill) Snearly, and Wendy (Brian) Munch, all of Oshkosh; five grandchildren, Aska, Dominic, Cameren, Scarlet, and Mary; brothers and sisters, John (Donna) Nelson, Michael Arthur (Anne) Nelson, Ruth Pamela (Robert) James, Cathy Jo (Ronald) Rucks, Randy Harold Nelson, Charles Scott Nelson, all of Oshkosh, and Debra Marie (William) Neibur of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Preceding William in death are his parents, a brother, James Robert Nelson, and a sister, Kristi Sophie Nelson.
