Omro Funeral Home Donates $250 For Christmas Baskets
Kwiatkowski Funeral Home makes holiday food drive a priority for local families.
Steve Kwiatkowski
and Larry Wunderlin
of Kwiatkowski Funeral Home joined Omro Police Lieutenant Joe Benoit
last week to give a boost of support to Omro families for Christmas.
The annual food drive is coordinated the by the Omro police and fire departments, and Kwiatkowski Funeral Home staff know how important it is for local families to be made comfortable and looked after.
Kwiatkowski, who made the $250 donation in person, insists that it is initiatives like this that make the small-town life in Omro so special. "We look out for each other and know that we're addressing family well-being right here at home," he said.
The initiative is expected to provide food for approximately 100 famlies during the holidays.
The Omro funeral home has been assisting local residents and Fox River families for over a century. Kwiatkowski and his wife Denise changed the moniker in 2002, when they took over the firm.
"We are not a large or intimidating funeral home," Kwiatkowski said. "It's our staff, our sensitivity and our willingness to serve others in our community that makes what we do so important and gratifying."
The yearly Christmas basket food drive is confined to the School District of Omro. Volunteers and other program participants will ready the baskets for delivery at Omro Rushford Volunteer Fire Department the morning of December 15, 2018.
